Meet Jade Lightning, the son of Vapor Trail and Sky Stinger! Due to complications during pregnancy, Jade was born without front legs. He hardly let that stop him as a foal, either scooting across the ground on his backside or sliding around on his chest. The moment they were able, his parents got him a walker to assist in his mobility. All it took was him being locked into his wheels for the first time and he was off, never stopping movement for a moment. He is the same as an adult, very active and always seeming to be on the move. He received his cutie mark in flying, which surprised both of his parents simply because they thought his disability would stop him from such things. Jade regularly makes jokes about himself to other ponies, claiming that the lack of legs makes him lighter and faster (since he removes his walker to fly), which is another reason why he beats other ponies in races. He wants to be a Wonderbolt, like most eager and excitable pegasi his age, to his father’s hearty approval.
