So, many years ago, my username here on DeviantArt was Grimdark-Graveyard. I made an OC, by the same name, to be my mascot. I love skeletons, skulls, bones, etc, and so I wanted my mascot to represent that! So in her original design, she wore white contacts, face paint, and big braids that resembled vertebrae. You can see her OG design here:

She’s been passed around from owner to owner through the years, but I was finally able to get my hands back on her original design. Silver-Glade still owns Tomb Thistle, who’s a redesign of Grim, since he was the last person to own her before me. But since he had redesigned her a little, he was comfortable giving me back her OG design as long as he could keep his Tomb Thistle. I was super cool with that, since I wanted to give her OG look a redesign anyway. So, now he and I both technically have OCs inspired by Grimdark Graveyard, haha. Hopefully that makes sense!

And of course, this post shows my Spooky Spell (who’s name is subject to change if I think of something better). But anyway. I’m glad to have my Grim back! I decided to keep “Grim” as her nickname, just as homage to the OG character :) I wanted to keep her braids and her grey-blue color scheme, but I made the braids much smaller, and I gave her some extra skull jewelry just for fun. I also decided to make her part zebra, so that I could add a patch of stripes on her sides to resemble ribs, and I made her a traditional unicorn, so that she could have a long and bony tail. Expect a ref for Grim some time soon after I finish my comms!
