You are a bunch of tiny space characters that run around a ship doing tasks you need to win, but one (or two or three depending on the number of people and settings) of you is an alien imposter whose goal it is to kill all the others. Whenever a dead body is found, a meeting is called and everyone discusses what they saw, who was where and when to try and figure out who did it. Then a vote is held to possibly eject someone out of the airlock you suspect to be an imposter.
 
Rinse and repeat until either the imposters are dealt with, tasks are finished, or the imposter kills the crew
 
With friends it can get pretty hilarious.
