Well, thank goodness Luna didn’t get shattered into a thousand/million shards/pieces because Twilight saved her life from smashed into bits just like what she did to Tempest in the film’s climax. Also, in the novelization of the film, Twilight did not saved Luna. But who? And of course she and Celestia could have fight the Storm King’s army despite we see her zapping a Storm Creature in the face before flying to seek help from Queen Novo before she was caught mid-flight when she was frozen into obsidian by Tempest before Twilight saves her from being smashed to death by using magic.
And she alongside with her sister Celestia, Cadance, and Twilight were overthrown by the Storm King.
How does that make this ok that the writers ensured Luna gets shafted by having Tempest be reckless there?
I know why the movie nearly killed off Luna, Pinkie, and Twilight Just like when “Transformers: the movie” nearly killed Bumblebee, Jazz, Cliffjumper, Spike (the human but not the dragon), Dirge, Thrust, and Ramjet (despite Jazz and Cliffjumper’s toy was discontinued in 1986), or when “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie” nearly killed off Zordon since he was resurrected by the rangers at the end of the film, or when “Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie” nearly killed off Jason Lee Scott.
Its because it hurts more on Luna’s case with bs like this than the others.
The others do matter but I am more focused on Luna’s case
I say the Royal Sisters in general were treated pretty poorly. And Cadance.
Heck.. Alicorns in general not named Twilight Sparkle gets handled not so good.
I notice you always put a big emphasis on Luna in most of your comments? Don’t think the other Princesses matter or something?
She could have shattered and Tempest would have been in huge trouble. Pretty sure the Staff of Tirek er.. pardon, Sacanas can’t get her magic if she’s all shattered. And looks like they were unaware about Flurry Heart so they are one Alicorn short if this happens.
Which pisses me off, this scene just screams the writers pulling all the stops to ensure all the princesses not named “Twilight ‘chosen one’ Sparkle” to get taken out in the movie. I really want to enjoy the movie more but it hurts so much on what the writers had done to the sisters(hurts alot for Luna’s case..)

I’m against insulting any good-natured character, but I think people get especially defensive of Luna because she’s an actually good representation for people with depression and the common vectors for hating her are directly because of the symptoms of depression. When people attack her, they’re usually attacking everyone with depression.
I find it funny that people get so worked up over Luna being made in of or hated on, yet its completely fine if the same thing happens to Celestia or any of the other Princesses.
It’s almost as if disliking Luna is the equivalent of a war crime.
I mean, when you’re making jokes about killing a character that is both a good person and a symbol of strength for all sufferers of depression, yeah. Your kinda fun ain’t allowed. Go ahead and throw a fit about it, dude.
As a Luna stan and sufferer of depression (which is my main reason for adoring Luna)… Can ya not? You’re just making it clear you’ve never even met someone with depression.
