So I had this idea involving my MLP Griffon O/FC Gareth to feature him in 4 pics to commemorate for Pride Month in June. That plan was suppose to come into play in mid-May. That didn’t materialize due to unfortunate circumstances that took place in the following weeks. On top of that my own irl issues popped up, mainly at my job. And with the days of Summer had finally approach I just basically hit the proverbial art brick wall, twice. All that contributed to me scraping my Pride Month plans for Gareth. Still, I did want to do something for the griffon boy, even if Pride Month aka June passed.
 
While at work, I was brainstorming what I can try to do to try and get out of my Summer art block. I can’t remember what lead me to do it, but it did help me to recall one of my old sketches. So I went to do a sketch of Gareth and my main MLP O/FC Sunfyre, and the idea to do something involving ‘showing your pride’ popped into my head. So I went with that and the end result was this.
 
I had planned to do a beach scenery for these two, but chose to leave it alone for now. As for the swimwear outfits I thought of picking colors that represent the pride flags. Gareth’s rainbow color outfit makes it obvious where he is and I had dabbed on the idea of Sunfyre being open-minded, yet Gareth sees him as a total ‘bicurious’ type. Either way, Gareth supports Sunny just as how Sunny supports him for his individuality although it was Gareth who…well, let’s leave those details for another time.
 
I also took the chance to change up Gareth’s appearance a bit. I plan to make a bio for him soon, plus I might have plans to deal deeper into this as a little story in the future.
