I imagine this as Rarity when she was a teen, she was spending all day trying to find gems for a dress to sell. And after all the work she did that day this is what she got. A broken horn and a tiny gem.

And now she asks herself if this idea of making it big and having a business in Canterlot is just a pipe dream and if she really is just going to stay in Ponyville as a cashier.
