Okay I actually was not expecting them to bring Discord into this show, true it isn’t John De Lancie which is the real disappointment cause he pretty much is Discord; It’s like trying to do Garfield without Lorenzo Music there are just some voices you know make a character.

I think they’re testing the waters with this new VA. It this point, I’m 100% sure that Discord WILL be in Gen 5

And it appears that he is now voiced by Peter New, which mean a normal cheaper voice actor can bring Discord into the mainstream and into more MLP content and spin offs without studios worrying about the budget. I loved his original voice but i hated that he basically got 1-2 appearances per season deal when he could have equal amount of screentime as Mane6 and Spike as the “Mane8th” instead of Starlight. Now that Peter is voicing him he can appear in commercials, and maybe even in G5.

I’m honestly glad it isn’t John. I love him and all, but he’s prob really expensive. I’ve always thought that Discord would get more screen time if he had a different VA

To me, Pony Life is actually kinda entertaining. Not as great as FiM, but at least it’s watchable.
