It wasn’t said to what stable Sundial went. There were few of them around Filly, and it was said some of them were found open from inside. Through story Weathervane kept comparing Murky to Sundial, even said they have same eyes. So there is a chance Murky is actually descendant of Sundial.

Iirc. Sundial gave his pregnant marefriend his place in the stable. Unfortunately murky was forced to explore the stable they were assigned to, and found that it failed and everpony was killed. It wasn’t clear how long his wife and child survived before the failure.
