Well guys, you can deal with it any way you like but the show hasn’t even aired yet and I believe that it’s too soon to draw any conclusions.

Well, personally I like all the main ponies. I’m not going to start not liking one anymore just ’cause they have wings now.
 
It reminds me how some Sonic fans are saying Princess Sally is going to be “ruined” just ‘cause she’s getting a new look, and new clothes in the Sonic comic book series.

The hardest was only to get used to acting like I never liked Twilight in the first place instead of just “now I like AJ a little more than her”, but if it helped me deal with alicorn drama then hell why not?

Possibly, but I was just tired of constant worrying if they will ruin a charater for me and since AJ grew on me much more this season anyway, I figured why not just focus on a different pony (people change their favorite ponies all the time, after all) and not have to worry anymore if the change of the former favorite one will ruin the show that will run for at least another 26 episodes for me while others would still have fun in the fandom all that time to come.

It’s to soon to assume she’s going to be “overpowered,” become a “Mary-Su,” and such… Regardless on whether, or not she’ll keep her wings, I think she’ll still be the same ol’ awkward bookworm we all know, and love. Even if she stays a princess, she’ll probably still continue her studies on friendship in ponyville.

I’ve dealt with it simply by changing favorite pony. I always liked Twilight but turning her into an overpowered alicorn princess kind of ruined her to me and I thought about just giving up the show because of that, but then it turned out there would be another season with 26 new episodes and I didn’t want to waste that. So as hard as it was, I just pretended that I had never liked Twilight in the first place and AJ (2nd favorite) moved into her place. It’s always better than seeing everyone else excited about another 26 episodes of poni while you feel like the show has been ruined for you because of one character.
