Great animation, but that chest inhale on Littlepip looks weird. I know its supposed to be seen from a distance, but the way the line on her shirt juts out like that stands out too much for me.
sprite sheets exist. they were usually 4 frames for simple motions and were reused constantly. animating like it’s metal slug would cut down the amount of time you would spend on cells, but the process of sequencing animations gets way harder.
@Red-Supernova
Seems like that would be a lot of work, because you wouldn’t just be replacing sprites. Besides, this was based on an animation for Metal Slug 2, and we all know that was the best one.
@Autumn_Shy
One option could be to make sprites for the playable characters first, release it in beta, and slowly replace the sprites for the rebel army, aliens, monsters and other enemies in phases.
I think you meant to say Metal Slug 3.

One thing to take this idea one step further is to give each of the playable characters unique abilities like in Metal Slug 6 and 7/XX.

One of my earliest imaginary fan ideas was a Metal Slug & MLP crossover game. Its almost like its really happening.
But the sprite work involved could be monumental, depending on how much Equestria you brought to PF Squad. ^^
