No, I did not. And looking at the lyrics, I think I can get why it’s not quite so well known.
Did you know there was a sequel to “A Boy Named Sue” called “Father of a Boy Named Sue”, both written by Shel Silverstein?
Same XD
Okay, I guess the better route would be to find worst nursing home you can
One is karmic. The other is pointless cruelty. Basalt doesn’t deserve to be taken care of in his old age by a loving son. He deserves to be lonely and unloved in an old folks home while Torch lives a happy life raising his daughter.
Edited
Why dump him in a home when you can dump them in the gutter?
That’s depressing, though hardly surprising.
And Basalt’s dead? Huh, here I thought he and Sconce were still alive and as miserable as ever.
Torch has one happy memory of his father: his death.
Then again, he did become Dragon Lord, and like it says in the Johnny Cash song, “I may be a son of a byay, but I’m the son of a byay that named you Sue!”
No way this gets a happy ending.
