I’ve seen some written medieval English.
Looked like a mix of Danish and German, which actually makes a lot of sense.
Presumably Old Ponish is to Ponish as Old English is to English, predating so many linguistic shifts and loanwords that it might as well be another language.
So “old ponish” is what? A different language?
