“She Talks to Angel” is one of the few genuine “parental bonus” episodes in the show, in that the target audience includes the parents of the little kids watching. Fluttershy and Angel basically play the roles of an overworked single mom and her clingy little child, respectively. I’m sure a lot of the parents watching were nodding their heads and saying, “Yep, been there.”
