My main problem with some people’s interpretation of this character is that they portray his friends as hideously out of character, as disgustingly sadistic with a total deconstruction of their relationship dynamics where they literally torture him and laugh about it. It’s inexcusably disrespectful and unfunny, and totally inappropriate considering their relationship is a wholesome one where they sort of “make” a family for one who wasn’t lucky enough to grow up with one. Driving a nail through it like that is just… asinine.
