I’d rage, because honestly, I’m waiting for this episode. The final episode can’t end like that. Or else I lose my shit throw a fucking tantrum because I have to wait God knows how long.

The leak reaked heavily of a troll to me. Just the way he worded the post. Trying to soften the blow but also coincidentally hitting EVERY one of our buttons? and giving no proo that he actually worked for Hasbro that I could see.
 
Honestly, the fandom has me more uneasy than the premise of the episode does.

Nope. Meghan McCarthy said Twilight EARNED it. Therefore it can’t have been given to her by accident.

I actually don’t care about twilight becoming an alicorn princess. I’m just bored and can’t sleep.

That could happen, probably should happen, but won’t. Meghan hinted very strongly that the Twilicorn change is permanent. As in, there’s no going back. If Season 4 does happen as expected, there’ll be two Earthponies, two Pegasi, one Unicorn, and one Demigoddess for however long the show lasts.

On the one hand, Crystal Ponies and butterfly wings did not change the show, even though they were a huge part of the toy line. On the other hand, there was that leak that said things had changed, and that Hasbro is clamping down hard on the studio to market the toys more aggressively.
 
I will be just about the happiest guy in town if it turns out that Hasbro only mandated alicorn princess twi for one episode and then she goes back to normal, but Megan McCarthy’s interview didn’t exactly inspire a lot of confidence, since it sounded more like she’s trying to soften the blow of a permanent alteration to Twilight’s character, going as far as to imply that she is never changing back.
 
If this is the new status of the show– Hasbro demanding sweeping changes on a whim whenever they have a stupid new toy to peddle– I don’t know how much longer it’s going to last, or how much longer I will remain interested in watching.

Maybe everything is part of the plans of the Lic-mean King Sombra to reach the Time Room where Prismo lives.
