Hasbro does not care about the comics or collectibles since they are mostly intended for adults. The show is huge with kids though, which means it is under a lot more scrutiny.
 
Parents are not going to care about a collectable with derp eyes or what’s in a comic, since young girls don’t go to Hot Topic or comic shops anyway.

I would like a confirmation on Derpy being permanently deleted.
 
If that were true, her presence in the comic and exclusive toys wouldn’t make any sense.

I’ve also heard rumors as well that Twilight’s transformation is temporary, or it’s heavily implied it’s temporary. So in the face of information conflict I can only be cynical.

To step down from the stands having finished laughing at the drama, I’ll be serious here:
 
Until evidence arises that suggests this is correct I’m calling bullshit. I just can’t help but to approach this cynically since it seems to be playing all to easily into the general butthurt and drama here to be legit, and I can just as easily see it as being someone being bored and deciding to play us off.
 
Of course, I also don’t know how Reddit membership works and I’m a bit lazy to check into MarketingThrowaway’s account. But I feel this’d be something Hasbro or any company would seek out to get squashed or the employee in question fired since this always tends to be a terminatable offence and if they want to lose a job, we’re being played.
 
So there’s my nightly cynicism.

If this is true, then what the F**k Hasbro? I mean since if twilight’s gonna become Alicorn, how they will make season 4? With twilight as an Alicorn, sounds like the Series gonna end.

I want the fired animators to protest A**BRO like they do on Megas XLR with MTV.  

Unless the show’s target demographic (little girls) conveys to Hasbro that they like old Twilight better, I’m afraid there’s little we can do. I am pretty sure the show has peaked, and given the way Season 3 ends, it’s only going to get worse from here on out.
