I made this a couple of months ago when the hype for generation 5 of My Little Pony was all over the internet, and I’m glad I can finally get around to uploading this!  
I wanted to toy around with the idea that the ponies would have breeds in this universe, so I had started off by making Twilight an Arabian horse!
 
I wanted to keep her iconic color scheme while also keeping her design fairly simple! I also thought it would be fun to simplify the cutie marks — as I had heard somewhere that the people working on generation 5 wanted to reach a bit of an older demographic. I figured that older people who are into collecting toys prefer toys that are a bit less gaudy.
 
I also wanted to toy around with the idea that each main pony would have a prop or accessory of some sort, and I thought that having a rug that Twilight carries around on her back as a sort of mobile reading spot would be a lot of fun!
 
Let me know how you guys feel and if you want to see other characters redesigned! I already have Rainbow Dash done, it’s just a matter of uploading it!
