They’re mighty big. Maybe even a little too big for some people’s tastes.
 
When I think of peep sights on a shotgun–and that is what we’ve got here, a “ghost ring” is just a peep with a larger aperture, to make it more usable in poor lighting conditions and more suited to quick-and-dirty close range work–I think of shooting with slugs, and I prefer a smaller aperture AND a narrower front sight post for that kind of thing.
 
Or a compact optic, like a red dot, if one can be found that won’t fail catastrophically after a few rounds of shotgun slug recoil. But putting a red dot on a shotgun to shoot slugs seems like putting a laser sight on a Colt Peacemaker, or an ACOG on a Trapdoor Springfield.
