Watching all this happening from the side, Starlight Glimmer couldn’t help but snicker as the Princess of Friendship of all ponies was panicking about what was meant to be a simple visit. Nonetheless, she tried her best to keep Twilight’s head on straight. “Will you relax? Do you really think Sunset’s gonna care about what color you choose for the picnic blanket?”
“I know. I know. But she’s going to be here for a whole week during… Thanks… Gifting? I believe that’s what the holiday’s called, right?” Twilight looked over to Starlight hoping for some sort of confirmation.
Starlight just gave an unknowing shrug. “I guess?”
“Anyway, I just want to make everything feel as welcoming for her as I can.”
“I understand that,” Starlight nodded. “I just think…”
But Twilight cuts her off as she continued to ramble on. “However, I also don’t want to make everything feel too welcoming so she doesn’t feel pressured or forced to overstay her welcome!”
Interjecting again, Starlight tried to reassure her. “I’m pretty sure that won’t happen.”
“You’re right! What if the exact opposite happens and everything feels too boring and mundane for her?! It’s just going to end up driving her away!”
Finally fed up with her constant worrying, Starlight rolled her eyes and pulled Twilight to her side, snapping her out of another breakdown. “Twilight, relax! Remember that breathing exercise Cadance taught you.” Raising her hoof to her chest, Starlight took a deep breath, holding it in as her friend began to follow along.
As they slowly breathed out, Twilight could feel her stress fade away. “I’m sorry. I just have a lot on my mind. After what I’ve done to her and her friends, I really just want there to be someway to make it up to her.”
“Oh, come on. Everyone knows that was an accident.” Having dealt with Twilight’s self-pitying before, Starlight had begun to lean towards a more direct approach in her pep talks. “It’s not like you meant to cast an appetite suppressant spell that would end up having an reversed effect in their world and cause everyone to gain weight instead of losing it. It could’ve happened to anyone.”
Though, Starlight smiled like she managed to cheer her friend up, Twilight just sneered back at her. “Thanks for the reminder.”
“All I’m saying is not not worry so much,” Starlight insisted. “Last time I visited, she and the others were doing fine. They’ve just gotten bigger and hungrier.”
“Yeah, just like you did,” Twilight rebutted. “Don’t you remember? You were pretty out of shape when you came back through the portal.”
Suddenly thinking back to her visit, Starlight glanced down at her own sagging belly as she began to recall how magically addicted she was to the food of that world. She had even found herself staying a few days longer than intended, inevitably causing her to triple her initial weight in such a brief amount of time. And it certainly didn’t get any easier after she returned. Not only did her cravings linger, she had to actively put in the effort of exercising and dieting in order to slim down… which was still a work in progress.
“Well, you’re not wrong,” Starlight sheepishly admitted before brushing it off. “But, that’s beside the point. Sunset’s gonna have a great time here. Just as long as we have enough food to keep the big girl happy,” she added with a smirk as playfully elbowed Twilight’s side.
The princess just rolled her eyes and chuckled at the playful comment. “Maybe I do worry too much. It’s just been a while since we’ve last seen each other. How about once she comes through that portal, the three of us can share a nice lunch together?”
And with the timing of a well-rehearsed skit, the portal opens up with a blueish glow as a large and bulky figure steps through. Dropping down onto her forehooves as her barrel-shaped body brushed against the sides, Sunset Shimmer eagerly looked up. “Hey, guys!” A smile spread across her chubby cheeks as the massive unicorn greeted her two pony friends. “I’m so glad to see you two again!”
The two of them were a little lost for words upon seeing their how much fatter their companion was. Though Starlight was still able to smile back, Twilight simply stared with her mouth agape.
After an awkward silence, Sunset decided to break the ice. “Yeah, I know. I’m surprised I can still fit through the portal too,” she said sarcastically.
@Telyna
I honestly couldn’t really see her at that size, especially when she’s even not the largest among her friends. I just wanted to keep the human-to-pony size ratio reasonable.
I enjoyed the little story in the description it was well done.
As for the pic Sunset looks so cute as a fat pony. It’s how I thought she might look as the size does suit her nicely. She’s such a cute, big, plump pony that I want to hug.
Me too
Exactly
@SunsetStorm
I know, right? :)
Yes. All three of them.
Pretty much.

Tbh most of us thought she’d be around pony Trixie’s size.
Um yes

Great job once again Neon!

Sunset: “I did. Now watch it or you’ll join them!”
Here’s an idea, why don’t you make her bigger yourself? She looks pretty hungry!
I was thinking the same thing. But I felt this would be a fitting size for someone who went from human to pony.
