If they did a good job, I’d give back their foals. Then have a chat with the smarty (in the follow up comic, it actually shows he is fairly smart, realizes that threatening humans is a sure fire way to die) and explain to him that he could go around and ask humans if they’d like their lawn’s mowed, and that there was a way for his herd to get nummies and actually be a benefit so people might not want to hurt them.
 
Basically if there’s a good smarty and the herd is being a benefit as opposed to pests, I see no reason to not let them be. Now if it’s a bad smarty and going around doing lawn invasions, and the herd is disrespectful along with the smarty… depending on the size… I’m thinking Fluffy Centipede. Going adult, foal, adult, foal… using the whole herd.

Thier reward is foal spaghetti. Thinning the population and teaching a lesson, model citizen right here.
