pretty bold statement. I enjoy Sombra, but I admit, season 9 did him wrong, by a TON! I loved him way more in past seasons and in the comics. So in short term, all your spiel about sombra is null and void hahaha
That’s possible, but I don’t think it will happen until someone comes along Twilight thinks will make an impression on Sombra. After all, it took 1000 years before Celestia met Fluttershy and realized this is someone who might be able to get through to Discord.
The Sombra in S9 was a recreation made by Discord using dark magic.
I guess.
First they have to figure out a way to fit this into canon.

When Celestia and Luna banished Sombra he was intact, and the reason why he returned was because the banishment spell broke which granted his return along with the Crystal Empire, just like how Luna returned from the Moon as Nightmare Moon or how Discord returned from being turned to stone.
The second time, he had to be revived by a spell, which Grogar cast. So he was dead for sure that time since the Crystal Heart’s magic killed him.

I’m not suggesting that he full on died, I’m saying they tried to kill him and didn’t succeed, which pretty well counts. He came back from being killed at twice, as it were.
Heck, even Grogar just had to pull him out of the SHADOW REALM, did he even die from the Heart?
Eclipse Lasered by the sisters, got stuck under ice for a thousand years. Crystal Hearted, banished to the shadow realm. Did he actually die either time, or just get aggressively debodied?
I’m pretty sure that was just a temporal banishment, just like Luna’s. He wouldn’t have been able to return in the season 3 premiere if we was dead. It would be illogical to just come back to life without any trigger.
I’m counting the time he got Sisters’d. “Turned into shadow and banished to the ice of the frozen north” doesn’t really sound like it was intended to be survivable.
The trio:
Sombra is the real villain of the series… no wonder they killed him, he was too dangerous to be kept alive.

Nothing about you guys coming back is guaranteed, especially considering you’re not even conscious in stone, and have no way to gain power to break free.
