no, sweetie drop is her agent name, she use this name so long is become a other persona but total control it, bon bon is her born name but most her enemy know her as sweetie drop, if you a secret agent, do you want your enemy know your real name and where you live when you do not your spy job? if i be secret agent, i will never use my real name as agent name, best way for your foe fond you, is like hey i am right here flag!

Depending on region, alternate names (aliases) can be fully legal. For example, I have my legal name and two state-registered aliases; I may legally use any of these three names on state documents, but on most federal documents only my legal name is valid.
 
Real world comparisons aside, we already know Equestrian names are easily changed after Pear Butter, Mrs. Cake, Tempest Shadow, and one other example that escapes me at the moment.

Well, all of Ponyville likely knows her only by her cover name, so it makes sense the headline would use it over her real one.
 
And not having been to the ceremony, we don’t know if she was wed under her actual name or not, so we can’t really say it’s illegal.

Both Bon Bon and Sweetie Drops could be considered her name for legal purposes especially when someone is under cover for as long as she is. Given that she is working for the Equestrian government its likely they have a system set up for this.
