MLP sure wants to end on Bullshit and not something peaceful.

Even assuming for the sake of argument that he actually resurrected Sombra from the dead, which is possible and what I personally believed happened, even Discord knows that doing so would likely only make AJ and the others mad at him. I feel like AJ (and likely the rest of the Apple Family, besides maybe Applebloom) would find doing so to be disrespectful.

Sombra was specifically banished to the aether by the Crystal Heart. Discord just summoned him from the aether, whatever that is.

Exactly. Even though he is magically on-par with Twilight, Sombra is still (essentially) a normal unicorn.
 
Discord, on the other hoof, is so powerful, he’s pretty much untouchable.

To put it into perspective: Celestia and Luna had to use the Elements on Discord, but with Sombra? They seemed like they one-shot him.
 
With their combined power. Without the Elements.
 

 
So yeah, Sombra not being able to hurt him isn’t surprising at all. In addition, Discord’s guard wasn’t actually down, since he was manipulating Sombra and the others, so he could’ve blocked it invisibly and sent himself flying for dramatic effect, as opposed to straight up no-selling it.

Discord is the all-powerful lord of chaos. Of course he would be immune of Sombra’s blasts (clone or not).

She probably would be more pissed at him

He could only summon Sombra from the shadow dimension, he didn’t ressurect anyone

What if Discord only created a clone of King Sombra?, that would explain why his dark magic did not affect him (although Discord could be immune or maybe not).
 
That would also explain the behavior and personality of this “King Sombra”

Did Discord revive Sombra, or effectively create a new one from scratch (hence his different personality), or just a real good illusion/puppet of Sombra (there powers were Discord’s doing)?
 
Would Discord even know if he’s resurrecting or cloning them? That is a common enough moral issue to explain why he isn’t using such on sympathetic characters.

Baast because Discord don’t want to resurrect her.  
Applejack because Discord don’t want to resurrect her parents.  
Cosmos because she receives whining of not killing creatures with his magic from Discord’s part only to realize that there was no consequence of killing them, he could resurrect the victims for the rest of eternity.
