but you still attach yourself to a certain character, which makes you follow the show anyway.

But lore doesn’t matter if the story is bad. Lore is the extra sprinkles that shouldn’t be the primary focus. The characters should be the primary focus, and the world naturally builds around them.

I’d say the show is enough for itself.  
but that some comic book history is interesting for developing characters set aside by the series.  
but the flaw is the multiplicity of writers each proposing their version of History.  
for me there is an official story and that of the fans.

And if you don’t read the comics since they’re entirely unnecessary as to understand the content of the show? Saying that secondary content fixes the issues of the show in itself tells that the show was flawed in its execution.

Actually, if we redo the show we just got the version of the pillars that we know is wrong.  
the stygian character and his past are developing in more detail in comics.
 
It is even too bad because the developments of several characters are often more interesting than in the series.  
At least for some subject the sombra pass is cool but his sweet double story is not great.  
It’s because of the diversity of writers.

Yeah, but Stygian is never shown trying to communicate with the Pillars. He gets grumpy, snaps at the world, and brings his problems up from 1 to 11 for no rational reason.

I would say that one easily makes mistakes when one is set aside by these own friends.  
see that in addition we have become useless and that our presence no longer appreciates torment of the heart.

a villain has a bruised heart and is ready to go beyond the limits imposed by others.  
here’s a recipe for making illustrious villains:
 
example Nox:  
In the series Wakfu season 1 the villain is Nox magician who manipulates time.  
his obsession with the past to save his missing family.  
but for this it needs a maximum of energy depending on the world.  
this world may well disappear if it cannot erase its past mistakes.
 
or other example spinel:  
in steven universe’s movie the villain is spinel.  
This character was pushed aside by the hero’s mother.  
She thought she was his friend but she was forgotten and gave up.  
To despair is to turn into anger in the face of this happy world that forgets it.  
she therefore wishes to put an end to their joy and rediscover her past joy.

To quote NuvaPrime: “All Stygian ever did was bring these six together, then got jealous of their fame and power, tried to steal their items to make him more powerful, then got butthurt after being booted for doing something dangerous and took on a power he did not understand and has vague at best intentions.”

Stygian’s character is not crazy.  
he was misunderstood when he warned of the danger of the shadow.  
They didn’t want to follow him, so he equipped himself with the artifacts of the heroes.  
but he was arrested and left unarmed to face the shadow.  
His defeat was assured before the shadow because this faith he could not overcome by his eloquence.  
what he had done to the Sirens before, or he had bought time to gather the heroes.
 
The parallel to Twilight is that she wanted to face nightmare moon alone.  
But for her these friends supported her and came back in time to help her.
 
discord:  
It’s actually a pretty chaotic solution.  
but I prefer this solution to wait until Fluttershy dies so that dislestia is possible.

I don’t like Stygian because of his story. Twilight and him are completely different, anyways; Stygian got mad and didn’t communicate with anyone, while Twilight just wasn’t interested in friendship (she wasn’t even disinterested, just didn’t realize how great it was).
 
And just having Discord, like, duplicate himself? That’s… a weird solution, not gonna lie.

stygian:  
is perhaps not a top model however is not a clone of the various male ponies of the series.  
his story is similar to twilight except that friendship failed for him.  
their mirror story seems pleasant to me and these two writers inevitably have common points.  
the pony of shadows is cool and this seems to be the only possibility to have a masculine alicorne.
 
Sunset X Rainbow Dash:  
for me they have no interaction so it’s just a fiction unrelated to the series or comics.  
so I don’t see Rainbow Dash with anyone at the end of the series. but Sunset yes  
the idea and that any OS is possible for Rainbow Dash.  
for my part I propose a kirin that attracts rain in opposition to Rainbow that repels it.
 
Fluttershy and Discord friends:  
that was my opinion before.  
She was to me the confidante of the story of the dislestia couple.  
but the show offers more than just friendship.  
This one doesn’t bother me anyway.  
However I still see the couple dislocated possible.
 
my idea is that:  
Fluttershy after all these tea parties is gonna force Discod to confess these feelings to Celestia.  
but when it is done and Celestia says yes Fluttershy will run away in tears.  
Discord this pitch will search for her and end up at her home or Angel will reveal Fluttershy’s feelings to her.  
This one will go home at this time and confirm angel’s words.  
Discord will be disturbed by these revelations no longer knowing what to do.  
Fluttershy proposed to join Celestia to present her solution.  
the one if Princess Celestia x Discord x fluttershy and if discord need can be duplicated.

Twilight Sparkle x Flash Sentry (for me unlikely as their story didn’t have a sequel.)  
my opinion: Twilight x stygian and Flash Sentry x sunset shimmer
 
For others I say yes:  
Princess Cadence x Shining Armor (necessarily correct)  
Princess Luna x Prince Pharynx (both are the brother and sister in the shadow of their eldest)
 
Princess Celestia x Discord (for me it remains complicated because fluttershy)  
but at this point I say it’s Discord and he can easily duplicate himself for these ladies  
and so I see rather : Princess Celestia x Discord x fluttershy
