That could actually be legitimate.
My headcanon is it’s only been like 10-15 years, but Twilight still hasn’t quite got the hang of raising and lowering the sun and moon on time, so everypony’s just having trouble keeping to a regular sleep schedule.
Could also be that some ponies age more gracefully than others.

This is the main complain I have. Judging how the cakes are grown up the time skip could be only of 20 years, yet old Rarity looks way worse than her mother back then (same compared to Twilight Velvet/Winy Whistles).
Same with stallions. Like you said, not everyone gets old and has crows feet.
Seriously, not every middle-aged mare who appeared in the show before this even had eyebags!
