And this is the main problem I have with recent Rainbow Dash episodes. Ever since Season 6, the writers always portray her as either A. An insufferable douchebag, B. A brain-dead idiot, or C. Both.
 
I cannot think of one RD episode from the last 4 or 5 years where her character was portrayed in a positive light. And before any of you reply with a comment about Rainbow Roadtrip, lemme stop you right there; that’s a special, not an episode (Besides, she probably had little to do with the plot anyway, plus the citizens of Hope Hollow only invited her as a guest of honor `cuz of, what, her rainbow-colored hair?).
It’s definitely depending on the writer as she wasn’t like this at all in Common Ground and I can count plenty of episodes where she isn’t either.
And this problem had been going on as early as Mid Season 1, so no, it’s not a new thing.
