Oh, I don’t doubt that. All’ im saying is that some feminists go about these kinds of people and generalizing them as all of that group. Take Anita with her critics on her video series, for example. She either labelled them all as trolls or harassers.
Hard to say, but I did hear of a guy whom got stabbed, because he “killed” somebody’s game character in a video game.
He survived, and the stabber was arrested supposedly, but there are some legit scary people online whom aren’t bluffing apparently.

In short - yes, the PC CD-ROM game was real, it came out in 1998 and was a “virtual pet” type game:
