What’s going on? I’m confused but that’s normal on this site, it’s odd, I wrap my head easily around things usually, this isn’t one of them.

I’m not “losing my shit” I’m pointing out why your “logic makes no sense.

I’m not idealizing her as a perfect saint, but she’s far from the selfish tool that you like to pretend she is. Case in point, the fact that she’s been willing to put Equestria first and her own needs second numerous times and come through bwgen it matters.

Her dependency on Celestia is simply due to the fact that she was practically raised by her, the point of her nearly being a second mother, that and she’s pretty much the ruler of all of Equestria, so of course Twilight would be desperate to have her approval.

I was just you stop downplaying her accomplishments just so you can have an excuse to complain, because your dedication to pretending everything and anything she’s done in the show is non-existent pretty much makes you no better than those “neurotic fanboys” you claim to be above.

Prefix: You do know a person can be a really good person while still being an insufferable tool given the right personality traits and circumstances, right?

First off, cool off. You are the most neurotic Twilight fanboy I’ve met in a while, and you are losing your shit.

But that’s not new around here. There are some users who think Lightning Dust and her limited screentime is the greatest character ever. We have no shortage on the obsessives.

Two, there are more identifiers out there besides spoiled princess and selfless saint, with many things inbetween. Your overreaction is completely meaningless, as is your idealized OC version of Twilight

Three, this is a basic sanity check question. “How healthy do you think is Twilight’s mental dependency of Celestia?”

Detoolify?

You’re joking right?

First of all, while Moondancer being upset is understandable, it’s kind of hard to hold everything against Twilight since she ended up thrust into a situation where she had to save the goddamn world!

Second of all, throughout the entire show we’ve seen Twilight go out of her way to put the fate of Equestria before everything including herself, so I don’t know where you get off calling her a tool when she’s basically done everything and anything to earn what she has today.

I suggest you stop pretending Twilight is some selfish stuck-up spoiled brat. Cuz that’s not what her character is, it’s some OC that you’re putting in her place.

Third and final, the current overall quality might not be exactly what it was before season 3, but that doesn’t objectively mean it’s bad. There been several good episodes and some bad ones, but the overall good quality of the show outweighs anything bad.

@Alphamon_Ouryuken
Gauntlet of Fire for example was an exceptional exception. I prefer terms like “overall”, “in a while” or “mostly” instead of “all of them” because I’m not going to deny exceptions. Remember episodes like Amending Fences where they actually tried to detoolify and call Twilight out on her real issues instead of dance around them because she’s Celestia’s chosen one? Episodes like that get a star from me as well.

But I’m not going to defend the current overall quality. There’s a difference.

For me? Both, but the show mostly. It feels like it’s running on fumes, and half of those fumes are from stuff introduced later thats not nearly as interesting or creative as the writers think they are. Personally, Chryssy mocking Twilight was the first sincere smile I got from the show in a while.

The show had so much to work with yet did very little.

Still going to stick with EQ for a while longer. See if there are still some sparks of creativity.

Hey… Guys? I was thinking about leaving the mlp fandom. Don’t get me wrong tho! The show WAS good! I just don’t… you know… Feel that spark anymore…
