Matt the Dragon is a friend of Spike’s in Dragon Town, and the second helper of Twilight Sparkle and Rarity.
He is an adorable and clumsy adolescent smurfy blue-brown dragon with a navy blue cardigan and a white belly, but rather well-meaning, optimistic and intelligent. Despite his clumsiness, however, his friends, The Mane Six and Vaudeville all equally love him.
He is shown to fill in writing letters for Spike to Princess Celestia and helping Twilight with sorting books and Rarity on finding gems. He is also shown to occasionally go into action, whenever his friends are in trouble with The Diamond Dogs or Queen Chrysalis and her changelings.
