Coping mechanism?
I know the short. I have seen the short. I love the short. A ladybug census just seems like tedious busywork. Going door to door to all the several hundred million ladybug homes in town and asking each and every one of them typical census questions. “How many adults live here?” “How many kids do you have?” “What is your race?” “What is your nationality?” Not to mention that each and every time she sees a ladybug, she will immediately stop whatever she is doing to go and fly and yell at her kite.
Ladybug census sounds like a must-do thing after Cosmos, anyway.
