Nah it’s nothing like that. My friends & family are nowhere near the type of people who hates whimsical stuff. They love to watch alot of Disney movies & play alot of Nintendo games etc. But they all see My little pony as a little girls show with no thoughts nor effort put into it & refuses to give the show a chance & sees all bronies as these weird nerds who doesn’t get out much. I can’t imagine what my friends & family will think of me if they find out I watch FIM. Granted it’s worth noting that I’m not really a big diehard brony, I’m more of a casual brony who watches a few episodes of FiM every now & then & doesn’t watch every single episode that comes out. However I did watched all the EQG movies, along with all the shorts so there’s that.

So sadly, this issue will only worsen.

It’s normal for people to dislike a show. If they ‘hate’ it that’s a sign of immaturity. Especially if they’re hating on something they know a friend is into. I mean of all the terrible things out there they hate on a cartoon? That’s pretty sad.

Why? I mean I can understand if they’re the ignorant hateful to anything whimsical types. If so then my heart goes out to you. For the most part though if family hate on things you love fuck ’em.

I know this isn’t meant to be taken seriously, but damn, the irony of putting a TV show before your friendship is beautiful in this context.

My friends & family doesn’t even know that I’m into MLP. I’ve been keeping it a secret for the longest time.

I’d say probably 2011.
 
2011 was what (most) consider to be the most successful year.
 
Discord, Chrysalis, and a plethora of good episodes.
 
2010, Season 1 is considered quite weak in Comparison, but still regarded above Season 3.
 
Season 4 was massive, but the fanbase had already started to dwindle after literally a quarter of the fanbase left after Twilight became an Alicorn, then Season 5 to now, it’s slowly been declining each year/season.
 
So all in all, 2011/Season 2, this is probably what it was like to be a brony, yes.

So this must be what it was like to be a brony in 2012…

If my best friend hates MLP, so what?
