Actually no it’s very likely. Do you really think Rarity wants to be seen as an adult Blank Flank in public? It’s very plausible that she’s locked herself in Carousel Boutique and isn’t even willing to try what Twilight suggested because as I pointed out earlier, She (Twilight) has no way of knowing that a pony practicing their special talent will actually restore their cutie mark. And in Rarity’s case it may be next to impossible to do if she’s cut off from her magic, and by extension, her gem-finding spell.
