The writers managed to handle the “THE SHOW MUST HAVE FASHION ELEMENTS” decree without becoming something insipid. Unfortunately, they’re likely operating under a “THE MOVIES MUST HAVE TEEN ROMANCE!” decree and none of them can write romance worth a damn.
 
Really, it’s not just that Brad and Tim have next to zero personality. It’s that the Twilights spontaneously morph into Generic Teen Girl In Relationship #23098 for the duration of the scene if one of them is around. JUST IMAGINE HOW MUCH ADORKABLENESS WE ARE MISSING BECAUSE THE WRITERS CANNOT INTO ROMANCE.

Man is it too much to ask for no waifu stealers, Hasbro? I mean you are a bro right! Just make with the waifus. :/

You present some very good points that anyone going ga-ga over a new ship should seriously consider. Something must be up with Timber and his partner here… I wouldn’t hold my breath that things would work out between nerdy Twi and him

I’m gonna guess a lot to be honest. Cause let’s be real, this guy’s not really much of an improvement on Flash with regard to character. Not only that but they were already having these two be all goo goo eyed just from a first glance at each other. Not even FlashLight did that, they at least waited til they had an awkward moment on their 2nd meeting. And Flash wasn’t going out of his way to hit on her from the start either right? I mean he didn’t start really making a move til after he cleared her name.
 
Either way, it’ll be interesting to see what plays out. I’m still wanting to bank on him and his sister being villains or something. Yah know like maybe one or both of them is actually Gaia Everfree or they were the ones who brought her back or something and Timber’s just making moves on Twilight to gain trust and steal her magic or something. I’m probably wrong but hey it wouldn’t surprise me.
