If they were to “reintroduce” her, then there needs to be a bunch of changes in that arc honestly.

Its a damn shame that the comics of MLP:FiM are seen as the most obscure and unknown side of media for FiM. They have some good concepts and characters even though they aren’t executed well like Cosmos here.

Think its better to do so anyway since many fans who only watched the TV show that wanted to see what happens “next” in this “season 10” would most likely haven’t read the comics.  
Unlike the Movie and EQG, its a bit harder to actually look up the comics stuff.

Thats one big hope I have for it(aside from hoping it does Luna more justice during crisis stuff), ignoring certain comic arcs that really bothered me. Especially this one(besides, I think they probably want to retcon the arc anyway due to how many people felt like the retcon messed up Discord’s character development. If I were the writers, that would be pretty hard to ignore this blemish)

I fully agree with you. This was just disgraceful how the Princesses, all four of them, could be so easily entranced and used by Cosmos as hosts for her essence, and then used as fuel to create her new hybrid fusion.

I honestly really hated seeing this happening to Luna.
 
In fact I felt like they could have had something for her in this arc due to the stars thing but instead this humiliation happens.  
To me, it felt like an insult to her due to how she already got possessed by the Nightmare Forces in the comics. Having her get possessed like this and mentally subdued like that is just.. argh..
 
Really hope this arc is just erased/disregarded in the season 10 comics.  
Not just because of this but also due to the retcon they made on Discord’s backstory that honestly felt like it goofted up the Royal Sisters in a way..

I always considered that. However, perhaps the stars that were the source of her power subdued the minds of the ponies she possessed and assimilated, so they could not fight back from within. I mean, look at the following issue…She could manifest the assimilated as extensions of herself when attacking Discord and the rest of the Mane Six.

Does anybody consider the possibility of how Cosmos would even be able to possess demi-dieties/immortals let alone use their powers without any form of magical or metaphysical resistance. You’d think it could be something where with the absorption of these six, she gained not just their knowledge and power, but also their multiple mentalities would have collectively turned or persuaded Cosmos to somewhat deviate from her original focus or train of thought. The personalities she absorbed could start to temporarily take grip over the shared form.

Indeed. Seeing the Princesses get fused into this abomination would make any younger reader sick to their stomach seeing the Princesses become part of Cosmos’ body so she can cause as much destructive chaos as she wants.

Good point. It might freak them out, but then you remember smiling, and even laughing at those things when your older. Going, “I can’t believe this scared me when I was younger.”

A lot of us fondly remember stuff that scared us as kids, though. I think it’ll freak some of them out but that’s not the worst thing in the world, you know?
