I can only draw happy stuff if the story retroactively makes it angsty.
 
anyway.. yes. this is technically a story piece even though the there is no actual “story” part. and also this isn’t the story piece I said I would do relating to this, but I desperately wanted to draw baby astra, so here we are. this was mostly just something for me to experiment with my style (using different lining techniques! not using black outlines and using brown instead! woo!) and I’d say I’m pretty happy with it, and I may or may not try and use this style more going forward.
 
I’m also trying to push my style a bit closer to the show’s style. not, like, a lot closer. but slightly.
