Actually, this was based on an OC from that Hot in Clevland ep. Not sure WHY I decided to draw him, it was just a spur of the moment type of thing honestly.

Well yeah, we have seen that all princesses in the show are alicorns but the only prince we’ve seen is just a unicorn. (What is the purpose of a prince in Equestria anyway?)  
Like it was already said, at least he isn’t an alicorn.

Dating a princess, doesn’t make you a prince, hell, neither does marrying one. The title of Prince is hereditary, you have to be born as one. If a prince was to marry a woman, she wouldn’t become a princess but she might get christened as a duchess. Same with a princess marrying a man, he might receive a title of peerage but he wouldn’t be made into a prince.
 
Marrying INTO royalty, doesn’t necessarily MAKE you royalty

Princes don’t wear cowboy hats. Although they should.

If the typical MLP OC is a prince no matter the race then I imagine the politics are very interesting… Or if there is to be a secession crisis…
 
New Head-cannon: Blueblood is where he is because his “dickishness” his a militarized weapon and he actively murders or systematically suppresses rival princes in a constant struggle to retain dominance in his house.

At least he isn’t a huge douche.
