This game probably won’t see completion (because the creator of it is a moron to everyone, not because a C&D), but it looks very nice so far so I’m uploading the few screenshots that are available on the creator’s homepage.
Yeesh. I’m actually speechless.
I have first hand knowledge of him, a year or so ago he came to our Twitter group with a large amount of sock puppets, each claiming to be a different person on his “team.”
Throughout his stay there, I’ve had multiple conversations with him that he initiated. He would present an idea,I would very politely tell him no, I wasn’t interested, and he would continue on as if I said yes. He would do the same thing in the moderator account dms, trying to cause drama despite the moderator telling him to block and move on if someone is giving him issue or that we do not punish people for speaking opinion, and he would act as if the moderator is completely agreeing with him.
At one point, he killed a child on the feed. Our group is pg, understandably there was a lot of people upset about this. His wikia page was given a warning that there was content that breaks our rules, and since then he has not only threatened our staff with lawsuits (which is what caused him to be banned from the wikia), he’s sent multiple bum DCMA’s in an attempt to claim that we stole the content (keep in mind, this is content he himself put up, via his “employee”).
His solution to everything going on? He killed off Mystical Melody’s “player” and blamed us for her suicide. It started with an early morning tweet from one of his puppets about how they couldn’t find her. A few hours later and they’d all discovered her body in a river, giving memorable quotes such as “I saw her head,she bumped it on the way down” and “I suspect there’s more to it than suicide.” Eventually, they settled on she threw herself from the bridge into an icy river… in Southern Arizona.
Since then he’s been attempting (poorly) to harass us because we wouldn’t put up with his garbage and told him to bug off. He’s still trying to send false dcma’s to the wikia staff. He’s still blaming us for his behavior.
Is he intentionally malicious? No, I don’t think so. From the digging I’ve done on him (and I have gone deep, his crap goes back to Wizarding 101 and Toontown), he’s very ill. He’s Chris-Chan levels of entitled and delusional. I think he honestly believes his ToS holds power, and if you aren’t saying what he wants to hear, he’ll actually see something else. Does that excuse his behavior? Absolutely not. While not acting with malicious intent, the people he’s harassed for the better part of a year may speak differently, because his actions sure are malicious.
There’s a pattern. He enters a fandom, stirs drama using sock puppets, if it’s a game at this point he’ll claim his accounts were hacked and everything of rare value was taken then go off on the moderators who find no evidence of this, then he’ll kill off one of his teammates. He’s done it before with Wizarding 101. This is probably what’s gotten him banned off Toontown, though I can’t say for sure. I can fully expect this to happen here. Usually he deletes everything to cover up his tracks, but I think this time it won’t be so easy for him.
Long post, I’m sorry, but I don’t want him getting away with his behavior anymore. He treats people like things to use and advance his own image and “business” further.
The guy who made the soundtrack (there’s another game-related upload of mine that has a link to it) did it for free. He says he wants to support the fandom by creating music for big projects without asking for money. Got some recognition, thankfully, because his soundtrack was frontpage-featured on EQD yesterday. But since the game probably won’t live for much longer, his effort has gone to waste a bit, yeah.
I don’t think the guy who makes the game is malicious, even though he is acting very oppressive to anyone who gives feedback. Judging by his behavior, he’s just a newbie who does this for the first time, is completely inexperienced and has no idea how to go about everything. Probably combined with large amounts of insecurity and fear of not getting enough attention, hence the attention-whoring and the banning of users who give feedback.
It’s a first-time project by someone who is completely clueless about what they’re doing and is therefore likely going to crash.
So I went and downloaded everything of the game that’s there, archived the screenshots here and the relevant parts of the homepage (minus the download area, since that’s account-tied) on the WaybackMachine.
Really want to see this game getting finished, but what can you do…..
What the actual fuck. This guy’s an idiot. He even went so far as to fake the death of a team member… just to get attention? Holy shit, this guy’s a real piece of work. I feel bad for the poor tool who made the soundtrack for him; he’s never going to get an ounce of recognition or see a cent in exchange for their work. He sounds like some website-runners for sites I’ve seen in the past who have unfortunately been able to employ people (who were either promptly fired for missing their schedule once, and have a history of just plain not paying the people doing work for them). I can guarantee you that this game or whatever won’t take off the ground.

Because he is a moron, basically. Has completely ridiculous ToS on his homepage that give his moderators (that probably don’t exist) the power to ban anyone for saying anything, requires you to make an account to be able to download the game, has banned a couple of users for stupid reasons (and then mocked them on Twitter when they complained about the faulty reasoning), makes up stuff to gain attention all the time and even faked the death of a former team member for that purpose.
I’m surprised someone made a soundtrack for him, with the way he is acting. If he keeps this up, he will probably give up making the game because either no one wants to help him or because no one wants to play it.
Why would he have scared away potential team members?
Feels fine to me. And the shade gives it something threatening, which is good, it’s lava, after all.
The creator of this game definitely has some talent and I would love to see it getting finished. If he hasn’t scared away all potential team members before, that is.
