Same. Rather, it’s an inability for me, but I get random spurts when I can just hammer through tasks (you’d think suffering sleep deprivation would have the opposite effect on an individual). I usually go for a vacation when I begin to lose passion and inspiration.

Perhaps I ought to use my next insomniac night as an opportunity to finish my clop fic series so that it can be done and checked off and I can move on with my life. I have an inability to purge incomplete personal projects even when the passion, momentum, and inspiration are long gone.
I know of these all too well. I end up actually being pretty productive.
Step one: get to bed at reasonable time
Step two: lie awake for hours and can’t get to sleep because angry I can’t sleep.
Step three: get up and clean while jacked up on coffee.
Step four: get to be a zombie the entire day, but the silver lining is the satisfaction I get that at least I was productive just to spite my stupid body for not sleeping.
A night of insomnia well-used (unlike the ones where I lie in bed angry at myself because I’m not sleeping)
The next day was still just as awful, but at least I read a great comic to think about at work.
