@TexasUberAlles
I have more experience with them in ammo and Glock parts than AR-15 parts and receivers. Haven’t had any issues with Midway yet, but I suppose there is always that chance unfortunately.
@KW117
Real good at killin’ deer and rabbits. I’m not enough of a shooter to feel the difference between their single stage and a Geissele single stage, but I am poor enough to feel the difference in price.
@MagpulPone
Yeah, but Midway sells defective uppers that’ll try to put your eye out, then tries to weasel out of replacing them; one of the guys in TFR on the SA forums has a harrowing saga about Midway.
…Also Larry Potterfield comes across as the kind of guy who probably has more than the legally allowed number of runaways and drifters in his basement.
@TexasUberAlles
are the CMC triggers any good? They are quite a bit cheaper than most other aftermarket triggers so i assume they must be cutting corners somewhere.
@KW117
If you wait for a holiday sale you can get stuff like triggers on super discount; I got my CMC for $80 off the typical price by googling around on Black Friday and finding a shop in Washington that was having a big sale. It was also pretty funny to buy a product that was made an hour’s drive away from me and sent halfway across the continent to get mailed back.
@TexasUberAlles
sorry, this one has an Aero Mil-spec lower parts kit.
I have a PSA lower that i’m probably going to drop a CMC or Timney in. Or i might swap the two since the Aero has a nicer finish and would match the upper better.
I hope there’s at least a better-than-milspec trigger in there; I have a CMC trigger in my Aero and it’s nice as heck for half the price of a Geissele.
…Don’t buy anything from LaRue, they’re racist yayholes who sell your contact info to scummy companies and stuff piles of anti-Muslim/Latino propaganda and lousy spice mixes into every order. As a Texan I am personally offended by their wretched seasonings.
@KW117
I had Daniel Defense furniture on my DDM4v5. They are very comfortable and ergonomic components. Only complaint is they looked kind of weird in my opinion. But the DD stocks are very secure and sturdy even without using a locking mechanism like Magpul does.
@Background Pony #4964
I haven’t decided on a grip yet but I was thinking Magpul, Danel Defense, or MFT minimalist for the stock.
Iron sights are probably going to be Aero Precision or Magpul MBUS.
@KW117
Do you have any preferences on the furniture? I’d personally recommend looking at Magpul products for the stock and possibly Magpul or ERGO for the pistol grip.
I’d also suggest putting back-up iron sights on it as well.
dang those are nice sales. I’ll keep that in mind for when I eventually upgrade my sights. But for now I’m probably going to do muzzle attachment, stock, and grip for my next upgrades.
@KW117
Hit up Optics Planet, they have frequent sales and specials and if you find something decent you can use the chat feature to ask if there are any discounts on a particular model and they’ll usually give you an extra 10% off just for asking. I got a $75 750lumen flashlight for $45 like that, and a $150 1x4 scope (with mount included) for $80.
@Background Pony #4964
For the price of those two i’d probably just get a Trijicon ACOG. 4x is all the zoom i’d really ask for on an AR-15. plus i’m not into magnifiers all that much. Not that i’m planning on spending $1000+ on optics any time soon :P

Midway USA is also pretty great with that sort of thing. At least in my experience.
Edited

Had a 50% off entire order discount from EOTech for sending in an unrepairable 552. So I picked some of their most epensive stuff :P

I run an EOTech EXPS3 and G33 magnifier on mine. Works great for close and longer range without having to switch weapons or optics.
Fair enough.
I don’t have a muzzle device. I still need to buy one.
And i normally run a reflex sight, i just put the scope on for this picture.
