During a day of multiple announcements - including that a new MLP-related film will be released in 2021 - Hasbro has confirmed that the popular cartoon, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, will finally end this year with its ninth season. A message on the official My Little Pony Facebook page (www.facebook.com/mylittlepony/…) reads: Season 9 will be the last season of Friendship is Magic, but this is definitely not the end for My Little Pony – in fact, it’s just the beginning! As we continue development on our all new CGI movie, we are dedicated to continuing our beloved stories told on multi-platforms and in the coming months we will be able to share our exciting new content plans that promise to entertain and delight our fans in more magical ways than ever before. Stay tuned for updates!
 
While new MLP content is in development, this does, indeed, appear to be the end of Friendship is Magic.
