I thought I’d be funny to make a comic about equines making some equine noises, and in my completly un-biased opinion, I was right. Also, those expressions were really fun to draw.
I couldn’t at first figure out what would cause them all to react like that, since none of them really share things that scare them. Eventually, I just put a salamander (A mythological version, not a real one) there, with the logic that in this universe, they can spit fire. Kinyume still wouldn’t panic like this, but… rule of fun. I guess she got dragged into the panic by the other two, or something =P
…Also, Google tells me that the strange sound zebras make is called a “bark”? That doesn’t sound right to me, but I don’t know enough about the subject to argue, so bark it is.
@DogAndPonyShow
Fair point but donkeys are at least equines too like Zebras are. Whenever I hear the word “bark” my mind instantly thinks about canines.
Yeah, it’s called a bark for whatever weird reason. But I’ve also heard some people use the term “bray” for the sounds Zebras make which does seem like it fits better.

Braying is actually associated with donkeys. I think bark kinda fits a zebra sound though I call it a “whoop” usually.
