Description

Since I was having too much fun with what was supposed to be a one-shot TF sequence, I decided to spin this character off into an OC.

Her proportions are kind of non-standard for the whole MLP world, I know. That doesn’t really surprise me. What does surprise me is how all these other little ratios just seemed to pop out on their own, without trying to make them. Some of the most important landmarks just happen to land at very specific head-distances apart. I genuinely don’t know how that happened.

Side note: I have now learned a hard lesson. Flattening a character which was originally created in a rotated 3D space is NOT easy! Starting from a flattened view and then rotating it? Not so bad. Taking something that you created in a rotated view, and even from multiple angles, and then flattening it? Pain in the fucking ass! >_<

I like the proportions! she seems like a cool character, too. one suggestion I might make: her shoulders in the front left are too far forward, making a V shape that doesn’t look stable, like a folding table with the legs partially folded. if they were shifted back and up a little bit, her foreleg could bend slightly forward at the elbow, to make a more stable Z shape. and uh… in general draw a vertical line from the center of her head to the ground, and that’s where the center of her front hoof goes, when not leaning forward or back.

her nose is a little… um… flat. could be rounder. looks kind of truncated. everything else is awesome. I love the way you draw fur.
