The filly shown is Rainbow Dash’s adopted daughter, Quetzal. What started as a bit of charity work at a local orphanage ended with RD bonding with a strange little earth filly who was fascinated with her wings. Quetzal is commonly known for her fascination with birds, and just about anything else that has any sort of avian features. Her coat bunches in some places to give the appearance of downy feathers, particularly around her hooves. Rainbow couldn’t get the kid out of her mind, and continued to visit her long after “Wonderbolt Day” passed. With a lot of help from Twilight, she eventually got to sign the adoption papers.
She adores both her mothers, Rainbow Dash and Spitfire, but especially Rainbow - who she will come to refer to as “Mama Bird”
