It was in Book Seven, when the Golden Trio sneak into the Ministry.
I don’t remember that from the books at all. I believe the only entrances in the Ministry are phone box elevator, and rows of fireplaces connected to Floo Network (Floo Network can’t be connected to the toilets, no).

That entrance has always been bizarre to me. There’s fitting in with the non-magical population, and then there’s sacrificing your dignity for no reason. C’mon, are you telling me that I have to step into something that some non-magical loser has shat into so that I can get into the ministry? I’m just trying to go to work, man. Have a doorway that only magicals can see or something, don’t make me step into piss-water every day.
