it’s funny because she was literally silenced for her humor in equestria, since she’d been infected with the compulsion to tell a joke that was so funny anyone who hears it dies laughing.
 
she probably would’ve cut her own tongue out to keep from saying the joke, if equestrians hadn’t used fancy magic to keep her from saying it, but it’s still funny. other lands simply think that jokes that don’t kill are just as bad. it’s kind of like comparing a land that regulates nuclear ordinance, with one that cuts your hand off for the crime of carrying a butter knife.
