And what is racism? I live in central Russia where practically impossible to meet any not white man. When I was 7 years old my parents took me in Leningrad (it was 1991 and it was still Leningrad) I remember meeting in metro a group of black men. It may be hard to understand for American resident who have black neigbours and meet black people on everyday basis and pays no attention but for me it was scary expirience and still feel unconfortable when meet a black man IRL. Not because I’ve something against them just strange phobia. And references to American slavery is totally acceptable here even in form of jokes. Just because people here have nothing against blacks. From other side I really like chocolate skin color of some Austronesian peoples and I like pure black horses pure black cats especially panthers and etc. They look cool.

Because they both had the same task to disguise Nyx. But “Winter Bells” variation used only enchanted headband without the glasses and the jacket.

Funny, in Nyx’s Family, she was made to don a magical disguise that changed the color of her fur from black to white. It only lasted the one chapter though.
 
Also, if you didn’t know already, both Nyx’s Family and Winter Bells are sequels to Past Sins, but they’re of different continuities.

I think it’s a reference to the disguise Twilight made for her in the sequel, “Winter Bells”.
