Could be a naval bomber flying from an airbase thats on land
I’m with you on this one. WW1 bombers had a siege gun in the front, and a rear gunner for defending against encroaching planes. Of course there was the heavy bomber that the Russians developed during that period.

What a strange and vaguely bashy aside.
Just having fun with the mashup of historical eras, is all. I’m with you that Total Historical Accuracy™ isn’t needed here. Given that it’s being operated and escorted by a bunch of magical talking ponies, the choice of plane is hardly the strangest thing going on in this picture 😄
I’m not getting at you, and I’m not belittling the artwork or claiming to know anything about this setting.
I love it man, I really do.
Besides, Pickelhaubes and Fokker D1’s would prolly offend someone thinking it was Nazi’s or something.
Not going for accuracy, just generic fun.
For example, if the tags are correct, what is this 1934 torpedo bomber doing over a WWI land battle?
