I think you were spot on, for the base version, after Ridley, excluding echoes, but including clones, came four more newcomers, Simon, K. Rool, Isabelle, and Incineroar. You want a big bucket of pudding? ‘Cause that’s the only thing I have on me that will go through the Wonkavision. ^_^

I’mma necro and I don’t care; Erdrick’s in, swashbucklers were correct. Technically as an alt, along with Zenithian and Dragovian for Luminary whom is likely the default in order to sell XI (stifled chuckle hue), but yeah, I default Advent Children, Girl Kamui, and Bayonetta 1 anyway. :3
 
Banjo-Kazooie too, but I began gaming in Gen 6 like a dumbass, so, I’ve not the same personal connection as my Western colleagues, which is likely why I’ve no friends in life. ;D

The mane bosses so far have been a hand, Tron, a swarm of bugs, and a bundle of wings and tentacles. A fighter could possibly be conceptualized based on the theme of random pile of stuff, presumably from a game, but… X3

In Smash, just about anything is possible at this point.

Not gonna lie, I somewhat want one too simply for the sheer stupidty and weirdness of it. I don’t even know what the style savvy games are about (and for the longest time I thought was a Ubisoft series, surprised to see its 100% Nintendo). If ultimate has shown me anything its that the music from those games are stupidly catchy.

Knowing Sakurai, one of the DLC characters is going to be a character from fucking Style Savvy, mark my words. Its crazy and batshit enough to be a possibility.

Yeah, he’d be good too. One idea I had, which is most likely tremendously ludicrous, is his shotgun and machinegun will behave like shotguns and machineguns in the Contra series, but perhaps faster and with the accompanying retro sound effects more resembling those from his first two games.
 
I would say when it comes to Western third-party contenders, it will be those from ones Nintendo has had a greater relationship with; Ubisoft, Wayforward, the former employee(s) of Wayforward who developed Shovel Knight under the name of a company I don’t remember, lol.
 
Whatever, my second vote’s for another common enemy from Kirby or Zelda, among the other five picks. Numerous concepts for a fighter as unique as Pakkun from those two series alone, yeah? ;3

Admittedly, I didn’t do any research on the Grinch leak because I couldn’t possibly believe the legitimacy of something so fundamentally idiotic. I still thought Isaac and Shadow would’ve been cool, but I wouldn’t have killed myself if they didn’t get in. >w<

People believed the grinch leak because it had almost everyone people have been asking for for a long time now. Everyone on that leak banner was a dream fighter: Shadow, Issac, Banjo&Kazooie, etc. Almost everyone immediately glommed onto it simply because they WANTED it to be real. Every character that’s been heavily requested for so long supposedly made the final cut.
 
But I and a few others knew better. Because 1: If its too good to be true than it probably is and 2: Sakurai said we shouldn’t expect a lot of newcomers in this smash, yet there were a total of 7 unrevealed newcomers on that fake smash banner. Even when ignoring that whole “don’t expect too many newcomers” bit, did people REALLY think that Sakurai would reveal 7 fucking characters in the same direct, one month before the games official release?
 
They set their expectations too high and now have only themselves to blame. But for the small minority of people like me who were calling it fake from the very beginning? We got to have the single greatest “I told you so” moment in all of smash history. And nothing feels quite as good as being the outnumbered one against an army and being the one who was right.

Despite that, one blackbeard claimed Snake, Wolf, Young Link, and Pichu would return, and was obviously labeled a quack until E3. So, I dunno no more.

I don’t put much faith in rumors or leaks. The last round of rumors and leaks before Ultimate’s release was proven false by the last Direct, especially the Grinch Leak.

This is just a rumour so far, but pirates believe Loto/Erdrick is gonna be DLC Man Number Two. No idea if it was reported on by a legitimate pirate. ^w^
