I think this was one of those cases where the fans called her Raindrops but the merchandise later called her Sunshower and Hasbro decides to combine them. Like how Lyra became Lyra Heartstrings.

Yeah, she received “Spring Melody” as well but that name isn’t so spread. She used to be fan-named ‘Medley’, then around 2014 the name ‘Sprinkle’ was added thanks to the blindbag version of her. In such cases, establishing of names go easier. :3
It just seems a bit weird to change her name after all these years. Like changing Sprinkle Medley to something completely different…
