Anyone who notes when an specific promise has lost his value?
We always break promises when an emergency happens, that doesn’t mean we totally disgregard the concept of a promise. Some things cannot be uphold if it takes a toll on you and others.
Well, remember when Pinkie Pie said “Nopony breaks a Pinkie promise!”? Well, she made a Pinkie promise to her friends. And she broke it. What kind of princess breaks a Pinkie promise?
Well, how dumb is this queen?!
Well, Tempest was an example what Twilight would have become.
Twilight desperately kindly did ask Queen Novo for help but the Queen stubbornly and secretly cowardly said no even though Novo understands and sympathies how Twilight feels about her home and kingdom being conquered by the same storm forces that conquered Hippogriffia.
But Twilight’s not selfish! She was Justin trying to be a hero! She’s not like Tempest!
Yeah, she was jus trying to help Queen Novo! She thought the pearl could be a weapon to defeat the Storm King and his minions! But it wasn’t!
That I can agree on.
That’s not how magic of friendship works. Being careless by jumping a rope with no caution at all would worry dead sick your friends. Accidentally attracting enemies that are trying to capture your friend because you couldn’t contain your celebration is not what I’d call good for friends. Trusting in strangers in a dangerous place where your friends are with you and could result in unpleasant concequences is not something friendly.
Magic of friendship doesn’t mean “just blindly trust in them, no matter how infuriating they are or what kind of dangerous situations they put you in”.
Well, remember how Simba have broken the Circle of Life in “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride”? Well, Twilight in this movie have broken the Magic of Friendship.
Well, even though this movie has and argument scene in the movie, this movie would featured an argument scene between Queen Novo and Princess Skystar after the false banishment of the Mane Six and Spike in a similar fashion to Ariel and King Triton in The Little Mermaid, or Simba and Kiara in The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride, or Merida and Queen Elinor in Brave, or Miguel and his Rivera Family (mostly Abuelita) in Coco, or Manny and Peaches in Ice Age: Continental Drift, or Selena Quintanilla and her father Abraham in Selena. But there isn’t.
It was some people’s opinions! Especially those who hate MLP or the movie! This movie can’t be bad.
Even though I absolutely hate this scene, it did not portray Twilight as in the right here. And she did learn her lesson. You’re making it out to be even worse than it actually is.
Twilys desperation was shown well enough.
And Fizzle was shunned; she didn´t get any help.
Still no excuse in my eyes, Twilight should have grown past that point, and even then and there, Tempest could have tried to seek help that way. I still stand by what I said.
Because Twily always acts calm under great pressure.
And getting maimed by an Ursa Minor is not traumatizing at all.
Twilight’s gone downhill since season six. She used to be one of my favorites and I could relate to her (like reading books, am a bit socially awkward), but not anymore. She’s just become an unlikable, selfish, arrogant jerk who doesn’t think before she acts, I mean, look at episode 12 of season 8 where she blamed the CMC for causing trouble when they didn’t and banned them on the spot. I still wonder why she is the “Princess of Friendship.”

There’s a very important part you’re leaving out.
Friendship saved the world many times before. Twilight forgot that yet again for the sake of the plot. To be fair, the Aesop Amnesia isn’t just exclusive to her, so I don’t blame Twilight. I blame bad writing.
Yep. God forbid we need drama, without it, it will just be babyish.
